Ethiopian Welo opals anchor the centers of these stud earrings inspired by a fossilized chrysanthemum, seen in the photos. These opals have a great green flash! You'll also see that the opals will reflect the gold as well. Gold is added to the patterned silver using the ancient Korean technique of keum boo. The 24kt gold is fused to the fine silver with heat and pressure.
Earrings are 1 inch long and 3/4 inch wide. The opals are 8 x 4 mm.
